Just as an artist uses watercolor, oils, and pastels to produce a masterpiece, photographer's use the medium of "light" to paint what is captured by the lens. These photos are captured at dusk or in frank darkness before being processed in a computer. This allows the ambient light to "paint" the the scene to create their unique color combination's.
